Throughout her career, Bonnie Barrett has been devoted to developing artists and identifying and nurturing emerging talent. Most recently, Ms. Barrett served as Director of Concert and Artist Activities for the Americas for Steinway & Sons, the venerable piano maker. Supporting Steinway's exclusive artist roster of over 1600 pianists drawn from classical, jazz and pop music, Ms. Barrett acted as the Company's liaison with symphony orchestras, music festivals, performing arts centers, performance venues, presenting organizations and international piano competitions. Prior to her position with Steinway, Ms. Barrett held various executive posts within the recording and music industry, including the Classical and Jazz divisions of the major record labels CBS Masterworks/Sony Classical; EMI Classics/Blue Note; and BMG Classics/RCA Victor. She began her career at Col umbia Artists Management, as a publicist. Ms. Barrett is a graduate of the Hartt School of Music, where she studied Piano Performance and holds an M.B.A. in Marketing from Pace University of New York.
